SMITH ANNIVERSARY

Leonard G. and Mary E. Smith, the former Mary Ellen Early, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on January 27, 1991, with a reception at thir home in Salem. The reception was given by their son and daughter-in-law, Sherrill and Maxine Smith.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith have on granddaughter and her husband, Sonja and Clay Overholt of Virginia Beach; three grandson, Duane and Diron Smith of Salem; and Stimis and his wife, Rhonda of Roanoke.

Mr. Smith is retired as president of Leonard Smith Sheet Metal and Roofing, Inc. Mrs. Smith is a housewife. They are life members of First Christian Church, Salem.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith were married January 25, 1941 at the home of the Rev. George Zeigler in Salem.
