HOT SPRINGS GIRL WINS SKIING TITLE

Eleven-year-old Alexandra Gattinger of Hot Springs captured the women's title in Sunday's 20th annual Virginia Governor's Cup giant slalom ski competition at the Homestead.

Gattinger completed her winning run in 1:07.45.

Ansley Murphy of Roanoke finished second behind Gattinger at 1:13.05.

Andrew Bullis, representing the Massanutten ski area, captured the men's title in 47.55 seconds.

Ted Rowland of Caanan Valley won the senior men's title with a time of 1:01.49, while Carroll Bell of Roanoke was second with a time of 1:04.89.
