ROVING TOWN MANAGER HEADS MINING GROUP

Dink Shackleford, a former roving town manager for communities within the Mount Rogers Planning District Commission, has been named executive director of the Virginia Mining and Reclamation Association.

He succeeds Sandy Dystart, who resigned last year for a marketing, advertising and graphics position in Kingsport, Tenn.
