ADOPTEE LAW IS BAR TO LEARNING ROOTS

I'M ADOPTED and I'm searching for my birth family. I have been able to find out a lot of information without going through the courts, but there are still some major pieces missing from the puzzle.

Do you know how frustrating it is to spend all this time wondering, waiting and searching - only to find out that it's up to a perfect stranger whether or not I find my birth family? I think it's time to review the adoptee laws so that I and others like me have a chance to know our roots. TAMMY HARRIS ROANOKE
