REDDING, CALIF. - Alton J. Coppridge, age 86, and formerly of Roanoke, died Wednesday, January 30, 1991 in a Redding, Calif. hospital. He was preceded in death by a wife, Virginia E. Coppridge. He is survived by his wife, Catherine "Kay" Coppridge, Redding, Calif.; his son, Dr. Alton J. Coppridge, Durham, N.C.; two grandchildren, Virginia Hayes, Neshanic Station, N.J.; William Coppridge, Durham, N.C. Funeral services will be conducted from the graveside, Evergreen Burial Park at 1:00 p.m. Thursday with Rev. Walter M. Lockett, Jr. officiating. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a favorite charity. Arrangements by Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
