CHRISTIANSBURG - Evelyn Coleman Stubbs, age 84, died Monday, February 4, 1991 at Meadowbrook Nursing Home in Shawsville. She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Perry R. Stubbs; a sister, Nell Louise Coleman; a brother, Clayton Coleman. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Perry R., Jr. and Brenda Stubbs, Pearisburg; one daughter, Sue S. Atkinson, Christiansburg; four sisters, Marion Cooper, Virginia Toms, both of Charlottesville; Frances Lupton, Louisa; Christine Wirt, Blue Ridge; J.R. Coleman, Bedford Hills, N.Y.; Robert Coleman, Scottsville; Joe Coleman, Charlottesville; four grandchildren. The funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday from Main Street Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Peter du Plessis and the Rev. Robert E. Crawford will burial in Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Memorial Fund of Main Street Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 Wednesday evening at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home.
