Joy Colbert, a governing board advisor, said at the board's meeting Tuesday that efforts were under way to add holography and robotics labs to the school.
"I think we will really have to get with our educational foundation because we cannot underwrite that with our budget," Colbert said. She added that it appeared the foundation would be able to raise the necessary money.
The school is more than halfway through its first year with 38 juniors drawn from the region that it serves. More students will be recruited in the coming months for the second year of the two-year school, attended half-days by students during the school year.
The board reaffirmed that the school would stay with Pulaski County's schedule, including Easter vacation March 29-April 1 even though some other participating systems have different schedules.
