UVA'S RYAN VOTED WOMAN OF THE YEAR

University of Virginia women's basketball coach Debbie Ryan was honored Tuesday as the Outstanding Woman of the Year by the Virginia Women's Forum.

Ryan, a three-time ACC coach of the year, is in her 14th year at UVa with a record of 290-120, including a 100-51 mark against in ACC regular-season games.

Virginia is top-ranked in the AP poll with a 20-1 record, 8-0 in the conference.

The Virginia Women's Forum, which established the award in 1976, annually recognizes a woman who has achieved outstanding success in her field. - Staff report
