"It's only off for 30 seconds, but it's stupid that it goes off," Anna Lou Chandler told Town Council at its meeting Tuesday.
Chandler was one of the citizens who complained about water stopping and starting.
"The thing I keep hearing from some of the citizens is `I'm taking a shower, I'm taking a bath, and suddenly, poof! I have no water at all,'" Councilman Nick Glenn said.
Town Manager Don Holycross said the engineering and public works departments will be working on a priority list of needs in such areas as water, sewer, streets and storm drains. The task will include the water pressure problem, he said.
In another matter, Holycross reported that the Virginia Municipal League has paired Pulaski with the town of Dumfries, between Fredericksburg and Washington, D.C., in its Virginians to Virginians Program.
Each town will host officials from the other town between now and the league's September meeting.
Council also voted to accept Lafayette Avenue, near the new C&P Telephone building south of Main Street, into the street system.
Council also authorized Holycross to make reservations for an overnight planning session for council members and department heads.
The session was to have been held at Mountain Lake in January, but the financial data needed for the planning was not complete. Now the session will probably not be held until late April, the earliest date Mountain Lake has available.
