LEGAL HOT-RODDING FOR A POLICEMAN

THE NEW police car in Boones Mill is supposed to have wide tires and a larger engine that can make the car reach speeds of 150 mph. The police officer involved in this charade took it upon himself to install a larger spoiler, which supposedly enables him to handle the vehicle better.

I think that Boones Mill has legalized hot-rodding for one man. Does he need to be chasing someone at speeds of 150 mph in a flashy sports car? How many people could be killed in such a high-speed chase? Why are his speed needs greater than those of the State Police and other law-enforcement agencies? I think this man enjoys doing what he writes other people tickets for - speeding!

The purpose of radar is highway safety. Let's all keep this in mind when we are chasing someone through the winding curves of Boones Mill at excessive speed.
