OBIT-MEDLIN, G.

George Hampton Medlin, age 82, of 3506 Valleyview Ave., N.W., died Tuesday, February 5, 1991. He was a retired baker for Giant Food Stores and served in the U.S. Navy Seabees in World War II. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Stella G. Medlin; two sisters, Ernestine M. Laughridge, Marion, N.C.; Ellen Anne M. Hicks, Franklinton, N.C.; one brother, Wade E. Medlin, Henderson, N.C.; a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Liberty Vance United Church of Christ, Henderson, N.C. at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 8, with the Rev. Kevin Gilliam officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
