OBIT-GIBSON, D.

David Curtis "Chappy" Gibson, age 52, of Blue Ridge, died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was a retired employee of Ingersoll-Rand and a member of Bonsack United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Carolyn N. Gibson; parents, Robert L., Sr. and Gladys Gibson; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert L., Jr. and Wanda Gibson; three nieces, Tina Sledd, Lisa Whitley, Pam Neighbors, all of Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 1991, with the Rev. Jeff Butcher officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
