Mae E. Lawson Hurd, 96, of 1276 Timberlake Drive, Lynchburg died Friday, February 1, 1991 in St. John's Nursing Home. Her husband was the late Lawrence Boyd Hurd. Born in Ivanhoe, she was a daughter of the late Joseph C. Lawson and Louemma Branscomb Lawson. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Kathleen Harman of Cape Canaveral, Fla.; one son, Joseph Henry Hurd of Framingham, Mass.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in Fort Hill Memorial Park by the Rev. Marjorie Musselman and the Rev. Don Simmons. Whitten Timberlake Chapel, 7404 Timberlake Road, Lynchburg is in charge of arrangements.
