Everett B. Peters, age 79, of Route 3, died Wednesday, February 6, 1991, in a Roanoke hospital. He was retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation and was preceded in death by his first wife, Jewell S. Peters, a daughter, Robin Peters Anderson, and a son, Clay G. Peters. Surviving are his loving and devoted wife, Mildred B. Peters; sons and daughters-in-law, Bill B. and Marlene Peters, Ray L. and Virginia Peters, all of Boones Mill; Kenneth and Patricia Peters, Blue Ridge; daughter-in-law, Audrey Q. Peters, Bedford; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Margie and Fred Whytenboch, Chester; stepson and daughter-in-law, Randall and Tina Wade, Georgia; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Archie and Onie Peters, Ferrum; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Goldie and Moyer Brogan, Ruby and Ray James, Gracie Scott, and Jessie Young, all of Ferrum; sister-in-law, Christine M. Peters, Bassett; brother-in-law, Murphy Shively, Ferrum. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday in Lynch Chapel by Elder Leonard J. Brammer and the Rev. John D. Riggs. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Friends may call at Lynch Funeral Home, Rocky Mount, after 3:00 p.m. Thursday where the family will be from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
