Most Americans now believe the Persian Gulf War will last at least six months but still support it by an overwhelming margin, according to a poll released Wednesday.

Fully 75 percent of those who expect a conflict of six months or longer continue to support the war, according to the ABC News-Washington Post poll. - The New York Times
