HENNY YOUNGMAN FILED A FEDERAL COMPLAINT

Henny Youngman filed a federal complaint that a St. Louis computer consultant wrote $16,200 worth of fraudulent checks against the comedian's New York account.

Jerry Terranson, 31, appeared before a federal judge Tuesday in St. Louis and was being held Wednesday in lieu of $50,000 bail for a hearing later in the month.

Youngman said in an interview from Los Angeles that he had noticed last May that six blank checks were missing from his account. He said he believed Terranson, whom he had met once, had taken the checks from his home in New York.
