Ruth Fortune Foutz, age 69 of Roanoke, died Wednesday in a Salem hospital. She is survived by two daughters, Judith Lee Foutz Handy, Dianne Foutz Bogard, both of Roanoke; three sons, Robin Foutz, Wisconsin; Tony Wayne Foutz, Timothy Houston Foutz, both of Roanoke; one brother, Jimmy Lee Fortune, Valejo, Calif.; four sisters, Priscilla Reed Stanley, Dorothy Braun, both of Norfolk; Mary Ann Waddell, Blue Ridge; Betty Price, Salem; eight grandchildren , Jason lee Handy, Nickoli Handy, Richard Handy, Lisa McMillan, Angela McMillian, Jeremy Bogard, Corie Foutz, Jonathon Foutz; one great-grandson, Jared McMillian Casazza. Memorial service will be held Saturday, February 16, 1991 at 2:00 p.m. at the Poages Mill Church of Brethren with the Rev. Maurice Wright officiating. Interment will be private. Arrangements are being held by Lotz Salem Chapel.
