THAXTON - John (Wayne) Nimmo, age 50, of Thaxton passed away suddenly Wednesday. He was an insurance agent for Investors Life and United American. Surviving are his wife, Rebecca (Becky) Nimmo; one son, Brian Christopher Nimmo, at home; two stepsons, Kenneth Davison, Roanoke; Matthew Davison, Boones Mill; three brothers, William David Nimmo, Sr., Roanoke; Wilbert Clarence Nimmo, Sr., Vinton; Paul Ray Nimmo, Roanoke; two sisters, Mrs. Buford (Doris) Howell, Roanoke; Mrs. Harry (Martha Marie) Carter, Roanoke. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 9, from the Lotz Vinton Chapel. The Rev. Donald Dyer will officiate. Interment in Thurman Family Cemetery, Hardy. Friends may call at Lotz Vinton Chapel.
