Miss Ella Mae Keen, age 87, of 1226 Rugby Blvd., N.W., passed away in a local hospital on Monday. She was retired from the Lucy Addition High School in the late 1960's after more than 42 years of teaching math, algebra & trigonometry with the Roanoke City School System. To many in the Roanoke Valley, she was called "Miss Mathematician". Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at High Street Baptist Church, with Dr. Noel C. Taylor officiating. Burial in Williams Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home.
