Carol Sweeney put in 19 points and pulled down 13 rebounds as Roanoke Catholic clinched the Southern Division of the Blue Ridge Conference by beating Carlisle 41-11 in girls' high school basketball.

Amoreli ronquillo had nine assists for host Roanoke Catholic.

The cold-shooting teams conbined for one point in the second quarter, a free throw by Roanoke Catholic, and the Celtics led 13-6 at halftime. Catholic pulled away with an 18-2 thired quarter. It was the last conference game of lthe regular season dfo r Roankoe Catholic (15-3 overall, 10-2). The conference tournament is next week.
