CEMETERY VANDALIZED A SECOND TIME

A Christiansburg cemetery was vandalized this week - the second time the cemetery has been vandalized in two months.

Tombstones were overturned at Sunset Cemetery, said Lt. Doug Marrs of the Christiansburg Police Department. Grave markers were thrown off graves.

Officials are offering a reward of $500 to whomever can provide information that will lead to the arrest of the person - or persons - who vandalized the plots on South Franklin Street.

Vandalizing property is a misdemeanor, Marrs said. Entering a cemetery after dark also is against the law.
