MILITARY BALL TONIGHT AT VIRGINIA TECH

The Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets' Military Ball is tonight at War Memorial Gym. The theme is "In the Name of Freedom," in honor of the men and women serving in the Persian Gulf.

Cadets and guests will enter under saber arches when the doors open at 7:15 p.m.

A silent rifle drill also will be performed and the Military Ball queen will be crowned.

The ball ends at midnight with fireworks and the playing of "Silver Taps" on the drill field.
