CONCERT-DEATH PROBE FINDS NO CRIMINAL NEGLIGENCE

Investigators found no criminal negligence in the deaths of three teens who were crushed last month by a surging crowd at a rock concert.

Attorney David Yocom said AC-DC's lead singer, Brian Johnson, stopped the music as soon as he was told to do so, but the victims had fallen beneath the crowd several minutes before.

The three victims were pinned when fans surged toward the stage during the first number Jan. 18 at Salt Palace. They weren't pulled out until the sixth song, Yocom said.

County investigator Sam Dawson said the victims' slight builds contributed to their deaths by "compressional asphyxia."
