LIBERAL EDITORIAL POLICY IS INCONSISTENT

REGARDING the editorials "Arabs harrassed" (Jan. 25) and "Passing the buck on gun control" (Jan. 26):

If it is acceptable to investigate law-abiding Americans who legally purchase firearms in the name of "war on crime," it should be acceptable to investigate law-abiding Arab-Americans in the name of "war against terrorism."
