Edward Throp Bryant, age 75, formerly of Chicago, Ill. and Richmond, died Friday, February 8, 1991, in a Roanoke hospital. He was a LT.JG of the United States Navy in World War II. He was retired from the Reynolds Metal Company in Richmond and was an alumnus of the University of Chicago. He was a member of CHI PSI Fraternity and a long time member of Meadow Brook Country Club in Richmond. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen B. Bryant. Surviving are his daughter, Linda B. Schuyler and a son-in-law, Peter G. Schyler, Phoenix, Ariz.; daughter, Drue B. Cass and son-in-law, Donald L. Cass Jr., Roanoke; four grandsons, Peter G. Schuyler Jr. and David B. Schuyler, both of Chicago, Ill.; Mason I. Cass and Bryant F. Cass, both of Roanoke; a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara B. and Robert W. Beaudway, LaGrange, Ill.; three nieces and one nephew; grand nieces and nephews and many friends. A memorial service will be held at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Salem on Tuesday, February 12, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the charity of your choice.
