BLACKSBURG - Mrs. Helen Wall Linkous, age 76, died Friday, February 8, 1991, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. She was a native of Montgomery County, born August 14, 1914, to the late James J. and Dora Price Linkous. She was preceded in death by her husband W.B. (Buster) Linkous. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and Lewis Hungate, Blacksburg; Mary Helen and Grady Nixon, Prattsville, Ala.; Kitty and Carl Duncan, Lexington, N.C.; one son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Ann Linkous, Warrenton, Va.; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Vance Wall, Joe and Mildred Wall, all of Blacksburg; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Hattie Guynn, Showalter Center, Blacksburg; Lillian Wall, Blacksburg; Robertine and Maurice Hawkins, New Market, Va.; a sister-in-law, Emma Jane Linkous, Blacksburg; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren. A graveside service will be Monday, February 11, at 11:00 a.m. in Westview Cemetery. The Rev. Jacob Mayer will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Blacksburg Rescue Squad, 200 Progress Street, N.E., Blacksburg, Virginia, 24060. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Hoy-McCoy Funeral Home.
