HOKIE MEN DOMINATE VA. TECH INVITATIONAL

The Virginia Tech men's track team won five of the 17 events and the Wake Forest and Norfolk State women each took four events Saturday at the Virginia Tech Invitational.

Tech's 3200 relay and distance medley teams both finished first, as did Mike Sergent in the 35-pound weight, Phil Kinslow in the mile run and Drew Sanders in the 3000-meter run.

Virginia Tech's Angie Edwards placed second in the shot put, the best finish of the day for the Hokies' women's team.
