SUSPECT CAUGHT COMING OUT WINDOW

Blacksburg police caught a man coming out of an apartment window early Saturday in the northern part of town after receiving information that a breaking-and-entering incident was under way, according to the Blacksburg Police Department.

Brian Matthew Brown of University Terrace was charged with breaking and entering with intent to commit assault and with assault and battery against a resident of the apartment, the department said.

Brown is being held under $5,000 bond pending a court hearing April 3.
