\ NAVY SEAMAN RECRUIT JOEL A. PETERSON, son of David W. and Carolyn J. Peterson of Moneta, has completed training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. He is a 1989 graduate of Cave Spring High School.

\ STAFF SGT. DAVID L. SCOTT JR. has deployed to the Middle East with American military forces participating in Operation Desert Shield. He is the son of Dorothy Eanes and stepson of Jerry Eanes of Hardy. Scott is a 1983 graduate of William Byrd High School, Vinton.

\ MASTER SGT. RASHAD A. ALAZEEZ, an electronic computer and switching systems technician at Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., has deployed to the Middle East with American military forces participating in Operation Desert Shield. He is the son of Clarence R. and Martha E. Tuning of Rocky Mount and a 1974 graduate of Franklin County High School.

\ AIRMAN RALPH E. SITES has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. Sites is the son of John L. and Marylin H. Sites of 1201 Hampton Ridge, Bedford and a 1989 graduate of Liberty High School.

\ NAVY SEAMAN RECRUIT TAMALA L. MORRIS, daughter of Deborah C. and Larry E. Morris Sr. of Goodview, has completed training at Recruit Training Command, Orlando, Fla. She is a 1990 graduate of Staunton River High School.

\ AIR FORCE TECH. SGT. RICHARD P. REYNOLDS, son of Ann Reynolds of Bedford and Paul Reynolds of Springfield, Ore., has arrived for duty at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. He is an aircraft armament systems technician.

Reynolds is a 1975 graduate of Staunton River High School.
