JEANS BRAND IS WIDELY AVAILABLE

Q: My wife wants some Lee jeans in the classic style. How can I find out who sells them in the Roanoke area? Paul Abbot, Roanoke

A: Lee, Lee Riders and Ms. Lee jeans are a widely distributed brand. The garments are made by VF Corp. To find out the name of its retailers, write the company at P.O. Box 1022, Reading, Pa. 19603 or call (215) 378-1151.

Complaints forwarded

The Feb. 5 Quickline column on Hill Brothers Shoe Co. of Lynchburg said to contact either the state Division of Consumer Affairs in Richmond or the BBB for complaints against this company.

However, the BBB in Roanoke no longer handles complaints about Hill Brothers because it was receiving far more complaints than were being settled, according to a representative.

The BBB sent all of its complaints against this company to the Postal Inspection Service, P.O. Box 25009, Richmond, Va. 23260. The investigator handling the inquiries is David Sussan.

Recycled card sources

In January, Quickline answered an inquiry on where to buy greeting cards printed on recycled paper. Since then, we have heard from several other store managers who called to say that they, too, sell these cards. Some of these include BBT Gifts Inc., For The Birds Inc., Paper Alley, and the Roanoke Natural Foods Co-op.
