DUNCAN, SARAH Q.

PULASKI - Sarah Quesenberry Duncan, age 84, of Route 1, Thornspring Road, died early Sunday morning in Community Hospital, Roanoke. Born in Pulaski, February 9, 1907, she was the daughter of the late Hiram W. Quesenberry and Ollie Mae Austin Quesenberry. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Jackson Duncan. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Conley (Viola) Umberger, Pulaski; Mrs. Kenneth (Norma) Ratcliff, Powhatan; Mrs. William (Dorcas) Kenne, Newport News; one son, Ralph J. Duncan, Roanoke; two sisters, Virginia Board, Roanoke; Evelyn Mozelle Goodwin, Richmond; two brothers, Claude Quesenberry, Tampa, Fla.; Guy Quesenberry, Germany; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. from Thomas M. Seagle and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Goodman officiating. Burial will follow in Thornspring Cemetery. Visiting will be Monday after 1:00 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Thomas M. Seagle and Sons Funeral Home.
