GLADE HILL - Mr. Carroll Thomas Eames, age 83, of Rt. 1, died Sunday, February 10, 1991 at his home. He was born in Franklin County, son of the late Richard Daniel Eames and the late Laura Bowles Eames. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edna Houston Eames, of the home; three brothers, Clifton Eames, Ferrum; Howard Eames, the Snow Creek community; Raymond Eames, Martinsville; seven sisters, Mrs. Claude (Elizabeth) Mason; Mrs. W. J. (Irene) Bousman; Mrs. Hazel Bousman; Mrs. James (Mary) Clark; Mrs. Thomas (Gladys) Matherly, all of Martinsville; Mrs. Louise Cundiff, Bassett; Mrs. Shannon (Imogene) Bowles, Rocky Mount; three grandchildren, Judith Lynn Houston, Glade Hill; Susan Kirkman, Virginia Beach; Mike Knight, Louisiana. Mr. Eames was preceded in death by two children, Earline E. Malasie and Sherman L. Eames. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Arrington-Bussey Chapel by Elder O. K. Tench. Burial will follow in the Franklin Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Arrington-Bussey Funeral Home in Rocky Mount.
