Emily Elizabeth McBride, age 74, formerly of Roanoke, died Sunday, February 10, in Kinston, N.C. She was the widow of Earlie W. McBride. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Betty) Ward, Kinston, N.C.; one sister, Catherine Thurston, Salem; one brother, Woodrow Smith, Staunton; two grandsons, Greggory L. Ward; and Timothy B. Ward; one great-granddaughter, Ashley Meghan Ward. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in High Street Cemetery, Rocky Mount by Dr. Richard D. Harrell. The family will receive friends at Lynch Funeral Home, Rocky Mount Tuesday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
