Gateway Christian rushed to a 20-1 first-quarter lead en route to a 65-48 victory against Joy Ranch Christian in a non-district boys' basketball game on Monday.

Reserve Sam Moore scored 18 points, grabbed 15 rebounds and blocked seven shots for the Crusaders (12-7). David Arthur also scored 18 points.

Joy Ranch was led by Bryan Shaffer with 18 points.
