11-YEAR-OLD BOY HIT BY VAN NEAR SCHOOL

An 11-year-old boy pushing his bicycle across Peppers Ferry Road in front of Belview Elementary School in Montgomery County was hit by a van Tuesday afternoon, police said.

He suffered mostly minor injuries and was listed in stable condition Tuesday night at Radford Community Hospital. His name was not released because of his age.

The driver of the van was not charged in the incident.
