Miss Gertrude Banks, age 101, formerly of Salem, died Tuesday. She is survived by one sister, Miss Grace Banks; nieces; nephews; other relatives; also a special friend, Ms. Marilyn Harmon and many other special friends. Services will be Friday at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Salem. Dr. J.A. Braxton will officiate with burial in East Hill Cemetery North. Family visitation will be 2:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Friends may call Thursday at Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home.
