OBIT GILBERT, B.

Billy Lewis Gilbert, age 46, died Tuesday, February 12, 1991, in the VA Medical Center, Salem. A native of Christiansburg,, Virginia, he served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam Era. He was preceded in death by his companion and friend, Phillip Ralph Lovern. He is survived by his mother, Eva Pryor Gilbert; brothers, James J. Gilbert, Bobby E. Gilbert, T. Earnest Gilbert and Roger L. Gilbert; sisters, Peggy G. Songer, Mary E. Miller, and Patricia A. Main; the family of Phillip Ralph Lovern; special friends, Walter Sadlowski, John Conley, Terry Martin, Teresa Croft, Virginia Smith and Virginia Batte. A graveside memorial service will be held today, Thursday, February 14, 1991, 2:00 p.m. in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. In lieu of flowers, make memorial donations to the VIRGINIA DEFENSE FORCES, c/o Capt. O. P. Ramsey, 6266 Pineywoods Road, Riner, Virginia 24149.
