BENEFIT AUCTION AT NEW SCHOOL

Fine wines, quilts, original artwork and legal services are some of the items on the block at Friday's 7 p.m. silent auction at the Blacksburg New School, 1600 Whipple Drive.

Almost 50 items and services were donated by New School families and local businesses, including a ceiling fan, a week of day care at Rainbow Riders, a designer twin bed, pottery, antiques, a massage and resume editing.

Hors d'oeuvres will be served. Bidding should end by 8 p.m.
