WYTHE, CARROLL REVIEW SERVICES TO SENIORS

Representatives of the Christiansburg-based Virginia Mountain Housing Inc. will survey residents of Wythe and Carroll counties and the city of Galax during February and March for information aimed at improving services to senior citizens.

Residents will be contacted by telephone and asked to schedule interviews at their convenience on services they use and those they would like to have included in a new continuing care program.

The organization received a $29,000 Appalachian Regional Commission grant last year to develop a community-based program for the elderly in this region. Information from the survey will be part of planning the program.
