Bessie Fisher Callis of Roanoke, died Wednesday, February 13, 1991, in a local hospital. Surviving are her husband, Clarence Mike Callis; children, Frances Darlene Coulter, Harpers Ferry, W. Va.; William R. Callis, York, Pa.; grandchildren, Marjorie Coulter, John Coulter, Jr., Gwen Brigham and Chris Callis; great-grandson, Brandon Brigham; sisters, Mrs. Ollie Fulk, King, N.C.; Mrs. Bertha Rogers; brother and sister-in-law, Lewis and Dot Fisher, all of Chicago, Ill.; devoted niece, Mrs. Elsie Dillon, Burnt Chimney; a special friend, Mrs. Esther Hansen, Moneta; many other relatives. Funeral services will be at the graveside in Evergreen Burial Park at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 1991, with the Rev. Earl Clemons officiating. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
