Lee Alfred Vanness, age 90, of Roanoke, died Thursday. He is survived by his wife Cleo E. Vanness; son, Jerry Lee Vanness, Bedford County; two stepdaughters, Wanda Rinehart and Brenda Fowler, both of Roanoke; three stepdons, Jerry Welcher; Danny Welcher, both of Roanoke; and Steve Welcher, Fla.; one sister, Joanna Dillon, Eagle Rock; five grandchildren; one greatgrandson. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Lotz Roanoke Chapel by Rev. Wilson Jamison. Friends may call Friday at Lotz Funeral Home, Roanoke.
