OBIT-BARNETT, L.

BLACKSBURG - Luther Barnett (June), age 67, died Thursday, February 14, 1991, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. He was retired from the Physics Department at VA Tech, after thirty-eight years of service. Survivors include his wife, Elnora Barnett; a son, Randell Lee Barnett; a daughter, Phyllis Olinger; two grandchildren, Michael Olinger and Cindy Olinger, all of Blacksburg; three sisters, Catherine Cupp, Christiansburg; Sora Cruise and Betty Wright, both of Richmond; one half sister, Hallie Spradlin, Christiansburg; two brothers, Cuba Barnett and Calvin Barnett, both of Blacksburg. Funeral services will be Sunday, February 17, 2:00 p.m. at Blacksburg First Wesleyan Church. The Rev. Raymond B. Powers will officiate. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to Blacksburg First Wesleyan Church, 1406 Giles Road, N. E., Blacksburg, Va. 24060. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Hoy-McCoy Funeral Home.
