LAST THALHIMER LEAVING STORE CHAIN

After five generations, the last Thalhimer is leaving the department store chain of the same name. William B. Thalhimer III said Friday he will leave Thalhimer Bros. Inc. at the end of the month.

It is the latest of a series of top management changes since the May Department Stores Co. of St. Louis bought the chain late last year.

Thalhimer, 45, executive vice president in charge of the company's 26 stores, submitted his resignation Tuesday. He had been with the company 25 years.

Thalhimer said he wanted to pursue other interests. - Associated Press
