Mr. Walter (Hap) Sylvester McAllister, age 80, died Friday, February 15, 1991. He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Wymer, Delores Newcomb, both of Buchanan; three sons, Cecil McAllister, Eagle Rock; Gary Lee McAllister, Buchanan; Scottie McAllister, Roanoke; two brothers including Bob McAllister, Roanoke; two sisters; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 18, at 2:00 p.m. at the Rader Buchanan Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Riley and the Rev. Jim Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in the Rapps Mill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
