William Sammuel Custis of Houston, died Friday, February 15, 1991. Mr. Custis was born July 16, 1901 in Onancock, Va. He was a long time resident of Webster Groves, Mo. and Houston, Texas. Mr. Custis was a member of Webster Groves Presbyterian Church of Webster Groves, Mo. He attended the college of William & Mary where he was a member of Kappa Alpha. Mr. Custis worked with the Virginian Railroad and had a long career with Texaco. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret Custis Green and Ira H. Green, Houston, Texas; Mary Custis Hart and Gerome F. Hart of Boston, Mass.; grandchildren, Ira Green Jr., Christopher Green, Kathryn Green, Michael Green, all of Houston, Texas; John Hart, Columbus, Ohio; Andrew Hart, Los Angeles, Calif.; Daniel Hart, Charlotte, N.C. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, February 18, 1991 at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church, 11612 Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas with Dr. Thomas K. Teweell officiating. Interment will be on Wednesday, February 20, 1991, in Fairveiw Cemetery, Roanoke, 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. John LaMotte officiating.
