HOSPITAL UPGRADES CONDITION OF TRUCK ACCIDENT VICTIM

The condition of a man injured in a truck accident Friday night was upgraded slightly on Saturday.

Samuel Lee Stone, 40, of Boones Mill, was listed in "very serious" condition, a nursing supervisor at Roanoke Memorial Hospital said. He had been listed in critical condition.

Stone's pickup truck veered off U.S. 220 in Roanoke County and struck a tree about 7 p.m. Friday.
