DEACON-O'DELL
Mary Katherine O'Dell and Mark Allen Deacon were married February 16, 1991,
at 6:00 p.m. at the Seventeenth Street Baptist Church. The candlelight
ceremony was performed by Rev. Kenneth Gray. The reception was held in the
fellowship hall of the church. The bride is the daughter of Paul and Bonnie
Gluth of Daleville and the granddaughter of Dillard and Mary Richards of
Roanoke. The groom is the son of Boyd and Laura Deacon of Roanoke and the
grandson of Melissa Austin of Buchanan. The bride was escorted down the aisle
by her grandfather. She wore a white satin gown with sequined Seville lace and
carried a cascade bouquet of white roses, pearls and baby's breath. The maid
of honor was Samantha Lentz, friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were Nickie
Richards, cousin of the bride, Debbie Davidson, sister of the groom, Stacey
Pond and Kelli Alexander, friends of the bride. The flowergirl was Kelsey
Gorrell. The best man was Boyd Deacon, the groom's father. Ushers were Greg
Deacon and Danny Deacon, brothers of the groom, Gary Davidson, brother-in-law
of the groom, and David Poff, friend of the groom. The guest book was attended
by Terri Deacon and the bulletin attendant was Amanda Davidson. The bride is a
graduate of Lord Botetourt High School and attended Virginia Western Community
College. She is employed by The Baby Superstore. The groom is a graduate of
Northside High School and attended Virginia Western Community College. He is
employed by Food Lion, Inc. The couple will reside in Roanoke.
