UVA STUDENT CHOIR TO GIVE CONCERT AT BEDFORD BAPTIST

Jubilate, an auditioned chorale composed of students at the University of Virginia, will perform Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. at Bedford Baptist Church.

Jubilate is sponsored by the music ministry of University Baptist Church in Charlottesville. The group, formed in 1973, has toured extensively in the eastern United States, sunging in churches, colleges and schools.

Jubilate will perform a concert of sacred choral music including work by Bach, Christiansen and Vaughn Williams. The concert also includes several hymn arrangements and spirituals. The chorale is under the direction of Michael Norris, minister of music at University Baptist Church.

The concert is a part of the second annual Bedford Sacred Concert Series at Bedford Baptist Church.
