James Preston Coon, age 48, of Hickory Lane, King, N.C., died Saturday, February 16, 1991, at his home. Surviving are his wife, Carol Taylor Coon; daughter, Kathy Coon, both of King, N.C.; son and daughter-in-law, J. Michael and Rebecca Coon, Minot, N.D.; granddaughter, Elizabeth Coon; mother, Margaret B. Coon, Roanoke. Graveside services will be conducted in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Roanoke, Va., 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 19, 1991, with the Rev. Robert L. Alderman officiating. Arrangements by Oakey's North Chapel.
