"Chris has had a problem all year adapting to our management system. This has been an ongoing problem which has, in turn, led to the team not living up to its potential," said Allan B. Harvie, the East Coast Hockey League team's president and general manager.
McSorley, 28, said he resigned under pressure. "I have no use for the man. When the truth finally gets out, it will be ugly," he said.
Harvie said he will announce a new coach Tuesday.
